The Curse of Dowry system

Dowry ,so called a gift given by the parents of a bride to the groom at the time of marriage before or after.

It is a very old custom or tradition being practised till now and pathetically will go on in future too.

In my humble opinion i solemnly describe it as a curse,but why ?? There are lots of reasons behind it that put and throw the society in tough,unbearable,poorer,orthodox,rigid,complexed,hating and in so many bad and worst situations.

Just because of the terror of this Dowry system,parents started wishing only for a boy child to be born in their families and not the girl. The birth of a baby girl is being accepted as a plight or curse to the family as we have heard in earlier times and still in many places of this world. 

People used to kill the infants baby girls as they didn't want to be humiliated in their society. Just imagine the situation of the brutal father and the poor girl at that time,really 'goose bumb'.

So many messengers of God from different religions came,condemned this custom and stopped this brutality.

Muhammed was the only person who stood against the entire ARABs to stop this shameful culture. The holy book QURAN  mentioned the girl child as a beautiful gift from GOD. Even so many philosophers and intellectuals also tried to stop this stupidity and cruelty but still the curse is passing on through ages.

The rich people gives a lot of things for the marriage of their daughters like house,vehicle,jewellery,clothes,utensils,furniture,appliances etc,besides they spend a lot for the functions and guests by making enormous and lavishly decorations with various varieties of food,music and drinks etc.  It's ok but why making too much show off ,yours show off is ruining and destroying the life of so many families.. This is the curse of Dowry system.

On the other hand the poor people kept waiting for the suitable and economical match for their daughters. They used to get loan or selling something like their valuables to fulfill the demands of the groom's family as their eyes are burst seeing the marriage of the rich ones. This is the curse of Dowry system.

Only handsome salaried or wealthy boys are now on bidding,they are ready for sale,doesn't matter about their looks or characters. Similarly the rich daughters are the first preference of all the bride seekers. This is the curse of Dowry system.

The greed and disgust of getting much as Dowry is increasing day by day among the    parents of a boy while, on the other hand so many girls sat in their houses waiting for the 'Prince of their Dreams'. Precisely or perhaps they know that the prince is on sale right now. This is the curse of Dowry system.

This orthodox and disgusting custom/culture/tradition is responsible for the suicides of many parents and the pathetic conditions of the family as well. Parents managed to marry their daughters with a greedy boy but,their entire life becomes a debt. This is the curse of Dowry system.

Above all the expenditures occurred in the marriages and fulfillment of Dowry, can help the economy very well perhaps can establish a great country or nation. Lots of unnecessary expenses, only show off can give you time bound joy but you can't get the immense happiness and satisfaction with this curse of Dowry system.
