THE QUALITIES OF A GOOD EMPLOYER
1, Soft and kind Hearted : A good employer must have a soft nature to give the directions and work plan to the employees with an ease. Soft spoken words are more understanding.Likewise he/she must have a kind heart to think about the capabilities of the employees and assign them the work accordingly. In fact,an employer should understand the problems of the employees with a kind heart and solve them wisely.Besides this,the employees also feel comfortable and gets motivated to work with the employers having such qualities. The world has changed a lot,now you can't forcefully impose some one to do something for you,it can only be done by a soft smile and with the soft spoken words. Similarly, as the entire mankind is relying on kindness and love,a kind employer can win so many hearts of their employees.
2, Punctuality and discipline maker : A disciplined and properly managed work with proper punctuality can't be stopped to get success. You can't ask your employees to be on time or to work in disciplined manner unless and until you follow the same habits and protocol. Punctuality in work is the key to success as it influences the connected people and moreover it makes your work more easy and comfortable. A timely done work gives a satisfaction,relaxed feeling, gives more energy to take the next task more eagerly. Similarly discipline in any work make the employees more dedicated and creates a smooth atmosphere in the office. " manners maketh a man" and it can be acquired with punctuality and discipline respectively.
3, Conceptual clarity : Many times it has been observed that the assigned task is not properly clarified with the employees. The concepts aren't explained or they are more exaggerated. In such situations,the employees become much confused and the outcome ends with unsatisfactory results. So,it is really very essential for an employer to provide all the necessary facts and figures or the work related information to the employees in detail with the best conceptual clarity. A proper information or knowledge of the task helps the employees to do the work with a clear and undisturbed vision. Conceptual clarity is the basic necessity for all the fields wether in business, jobs, profession or in studies. Therefore, a good employer should clarify each and every job related points with the employees.
4, Confidence building : Every employee has different quality of doing work,some are very fast,active,attentive and do the work in perfect order but,some are quite lazy and slow. A good employer do not scold or criticize the employees rather he/she should motivate them,teach them and build a confidence in the employees to face the problems and do the work with perfection. Without confidence one can't do any work or job in any field perfectly. Confidence is the power and basic tool for the completion of any task unless it doesn't convert into arrogance. A good employer must have a confidence and he/she practices always to create a team of employees having their visions and interests full of confidence.
5, Supportive : "Without a support nothing is done" in the world. Everyone needs and seek support to one another in every field. Without electricity support your appliances can't run, without support of gas or fuel the world will shut down,there are uncountable examples of support. As an employer,one should have the quality of being supportive to the employees. Besides salaries or wages,the employees of any unit needs the care and support of their Bosses. Support, like giving a helping hand to the employees,motivating and appreciating words,providing best knowledge and information that helps them to solve their work and personal issues,presenting them as the best employees in front of the outside business world etc. Giving support to your employees will return you the best possible results from them.
6, Innovative and knowledge seeker : Seeking knowledge and being innovative is always very helpful to run a business, to do a job or to be an employer. Acquiring knowledge about the newly launched/developed products,technology and business methods is quite useful for an employer. Likewise, utilizing such knowledge and information in an innovative or influential manner is much helpful for an employer too. More often, as we can see an employer or boss also act as the leader in their respective units and they have to teach their employees and make them trained. If an employer him/herself isn't aware about the new changes in their fields, then how can they expect good results from their employees? If an employer can't bring and implement the innovative ideas then,they will never get the very best from their employees.
7, Providing healthy environment : Place of work is an important factor for an employer and for the employees as well. An unhealthy environment like noise disturbances,untidy floor,scattered files,unsettled furniture,washrooms with foul smell,improper light and ventilation etc,are the things which reduces the concentration for work among the employees. It is an important task for an employer to provide a healthy environment for the employees to make them more comfortable while doing work. Moreover,it attracts the other people to join the business houses having a cool and cosy pleasant environment.
8, Coordination among colleagues : Competition, rivalry and jealousy are the very common things in every business unit or in every field. Just to impress the bosses,the colleagues often do so many unfair things with each other and that directly affects the workflow, consistency ,results and reputation of the company. In such situations an employer's role become very important to make the coordination among the employees and solve their issues wisely. A good employer should always practice to create a friendly environment in the office and try to make good relations between the employees. Employees unity towards the same vision or task is always a sign of great success and the employers have a great role within.
9, Incentives to the employees : There are number of things that motivates the employees. Incentives and perks are the most attracting things among them. Always try to introduce and announce the various incentives for the employees from time to time. So many candidates searching for a job usually look for the incentives and then apply for the job. As the good schemes of products attracts more customers,the good incentives also attracts more and more qualified people.A good and wise employer always give or provide considerable and attractive incentives for the employees to get the best results.
10, Good Relation with employees : Making good relations with your employees is an important art or skill that is quite beneficial in all the aspects. If you have good relations with your employees, you can bring out the best workmanship of an employee without offering extra pay. Moreover, good relations with your employees can be helpful in your personal life issues and routine too. For example, one of your employee has a good doctor in his/her family and you need to be diagnosed or you are looking for one,in such condition your good relation with that employee solve or ease your problem at once. Similarly, there are so many other examples in some other matters by which your good relations with your employees can be quite useful. Employees changed,employers changed but their good relations always make them connected for the lifetime and they will never forget each other. In my humble opinion, making good relations with the employees is one of the best quality of an employer.
Hopefully there are so many other qualities of a good employer that makes them great. But i just hope the above are quite considerable too.
